Have you already received the warning about the wild hacker Fabrizio Brambilla?

Social media is a digital marketplace, the agora of the present. People exchange content with each other, images, links, stories. Some stories are incredibly sweet, others full of anger and hate. Still other content is informative and some is just silent mail.

Like the chain letter with Fabrizio Brambilla. We already know this chain letter very well, as in principle only the name is exchanged. But maybe many users think “Oh, that’s someone else now!” Then it’s definitely true, so I’m sharing it!”. We can't explain it any other way.

“IMPORTANT
Please tell all contacts in your Messenger list not to accept anything from Fabrizio Brambilla. He has a photo with a dog. He is a hacker and has connected the system to your messenger account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure all of your friends know. Thank you . Please forward”

The fairy tale of the hack via the messenger

Facebook Messenger is used to exchange texts and small files with other users, also called “chat”. This means that a “hack” could only take place if someone was sent an infected file and opened it.
But you cannot be “hacked” by simply accepting a contact and then they write to you. Technically simply not possible.

And what if he is a “hacker”?

Curious users (and us) might check Facebook to see if this user even exists. And actually:

There are even several Fabrizios with dogs and even recently created Fabrizios with a Guy Fawkes mask. Are they all “hackers”? After all, the description is correct, and anyone who has a profile picture with the “Anonymous” mask must be a hacker, right?

We'll repeat it again at this point: It's technically not possible!

It can be assumed that the newly created profiles with Guy Fawkes masks are only intended to scare people. The two Fabrizios with dogs probably don't even know that they are the involuntary victims of a chain letter.

Maybe a grain of truth?

Now we just have to guess, but knowing Facebook, we assume that someone actually received a message from Fabrizio Brambilla. Possibly a message like a supposed YouTube video and the text “Is that you?” or similar. We reported on news like this: You click on an alleged video of yourself, log in to a fake Facebook-like page with your login details and automatically spread this message to all your Facebook friends, and you then also have the login details for the fraudsters gifted.

Many users have the impression that they have been “hacked”, but in reality they have almost voluntarily given their data to fraudsters because they were not careful where they entered their data. So your own naivety suddenly turns into an ominous “hacker”.

Either way, we can hypothetically imagine what happened. The person who started the chain letter was certainly not hacked through a friend request via Messenger. In case we haven't mentioned it yet: It's technically not possible!

Conclusion

No, that Fabrizio is not a hacker who can hack your account. If you happen to get a friend request from that name, you don't have to accept it, but you definitely won't be "hacked." His name now joins the list of “hackers” named Christoph and Jessica Davies , Peter Enis , Marcel Hohmann , Ute Christoff and Paolo Tizzanini . All names that appeared in these or similar “warnings about hackers”, but whose namesakes are probably happy when they are finally no longer referred to as “Facebook profile hackers”.

So on behalf of all innocent people called “hackers”, we ask you:
Do not spread such chain letters!
