Fake emails sent in the name of “Facebook/Meta” inform users that they have violated Meta guidelines. However, you would have the opportunity to express yourself in the “Communicate Ad Check” group. If you don't do this, your account will be blocked within 24 hours.

A user informed us that this information about a company account on Facebook was sent to several employees. The senders varied, but Meta or Facebook was always listed as the sender. (At this point: Thank you for the information!)

The opportunity given in the email to comment on the violations leads to the very group called “Communicate Ad Check”.
Here you can post a post directly in the group to ask about violations or to state that you are not aware of any violations. This process alone seems highly dubious and would probably never be handled in this way by Meta or Facebook. The user who informed us had left such an entry as a test, but it was never activated. – Which is bitter since you only have 24 hours to do this.

However, she later received a notification from an admin. Now a link has been given that you should follow in order to comment on the allegations. We took a closer look at this.

Communicate AD Check / Management AD Check

So these two accounts are in cahoots and pose as a kind of “Copyright / Facebook Help Center”. Management AD Check is a page and acts as an admin in the Communicate AD Check group. The post in question was posted in this group:

What happens when you open the link?

First of all, we get a warning that this is an unsafe site that may try to spy on personal information or deliver malicious software.

And yes, we can confirm the content of this warning.
If you ignore this notice, you will be taken to a page where you will be informed to submit your “objection” by filling out the following form. We can already tell from the URL that this is not an official Meta or Facebook page.

If you click further here, we will be asked on the next page to enter your data such as account name, last name, email address and telephone number.

Once we've done that (of course we didn't enter any real data), we go to the next page, where we're asked for our password.

But that's enough now.

Conclusion

Don't let such notifications unsettle you. These emails do not come from Facebook / Meta, but are fake. There are fraudsters behind this who want to use this scam to steal your login data.

We know similar processes from the so-called “Social Network Registry Corporation” . The difference is that different pages are marked in posts.

Communicate AD Check sends emails instead, which doesn't make the whole thing any better or less dangerous. If you enter your data here, you will send it to the scammers behind these emails and sites. This gives them full access to your profile or Facebook page or group !

Such fraudulent sites appear again and again, and they often have names like “Facebook Support” or “Facebook Security”. Now as a “Communicate / Management AD Check”. The official Facebook Security page can be found HERE .
