Is Facebook on the decline?
As the evaluation by the US company Activate shows, the intensity of use of Facebook has fallen. For years, the social media giant was able to consistently retain its users, despite all the prophecies of doom. Now the tide is obviously turning.
In 2017, users typically spent around 14 hours a month on the platform, but now they spend a maximum of 9 hours a month. The reasons for this behavior may be varied. First and foremost, users are probably switching to other messenger services and platforms such as Instagram or Snapchat. However, the scandals surrounding data protection and fake news should hardly play a role.

For many former users, Facebook seemed too overloaded with attempts to integrate features such as videos and maps. Too much advertising and too little content are other opinions. In addition, young people feel “surveilled” by their parents’ “presence” on Facebook and switch to younger platforms. Like currently on the video platform TikTok from China.
Maybe you wanted too much on Facebook and ultimately couldn't do it.
