Supposedly you can win €500 for shopping at IKEA, but there are data collectors behind it.

A sponsored ad on Facebook promises €500 vouchers for IKEA

All you have to do is answer a few irrelevant questions and enter your details.
It is doubtful whether there will ever be any profit, because behind it there are data collectors who resell the data.

This sponsored ad on Facebook, which appears to be from IKEA, claims that you can win a €500 voucher:

When we click on the advertisement, Kaspersky warns us:

Without online protection, you end up on a page where you first have to answer a few irrelevant questions in order to “qualify”.

The site is designed in IKEA colors

After answering the questions, all you have to do is enter your address to take part in the competition.

But be careful : the organizer is not IKEA, but a data collector!

This can be seen at the bottom of the page:

The real creators of the competition
The real creators of the competition

The company mentioned and presented here is not affiliated, is not connected in any way (either directly or indirectly) and has no business relationship with GreenFlamingo UG or with this campaign. This campaign is being conducted without any connection or knowledge of the company in any way.”

In other words: IKEA has absolutely nothing to do with this, but “Green Flamingo” pretends throughout the entire process, from the sponsored ad to the data entry, that it is an IKEA competition!

It is also claimed that the use of the IKEA logo was done under the principle of “fair use”, so everything is legitimate. In this case, however, this is not only wrong, but even punishable, as the logo is intended to give the impression that IKEA is the creator of the site, that the site is trading commercially (data trading) and that such actions ultimately have a damaging effect on the furniture market!

Data collector and lead generator

We have seen exactly this method (just with other vouchers as a lure) many times before. However, the organizer Green Flamingo is new to us. Nevertheless, in addition to this organizer, companies such as 7sections GmbH, adpublisher, red lemon media GmbH, Lead Spot Media, Proleagion and Planet49 also use the same method.

Conclusion

The user is promised and led to believe something that is not true at all. The status post gives the user the impression that they can get vouchers - but that is not the case.

In the end, it's all about the lead generators getting all of the user's data so that they can then shower them with advertising by email, telephone, SMS and post.
Whether the promised prize will ever be raffled off is unknown and at least doubtful, as the deception right from the start using misleading, sponsored advertising on Facebook is not legitimate.
