Phishing on Facebook: Be careful, fraudsters often try to get users' login data via clickbait.
This is also the case with the following Facebook status post. With the introductory words “A terrible traffic accident happened two hours ago,” fraudsters try to lure users into a trap.
It's about the following status post:
A terrible traffic accident happened two hours ago. Seven young people between the ages of 14 and 23 died. An eighth victim lies between life and death. The police urge us to consult our friends, colleagues and family. Here is a photo of the victims and a video about the victim's condition.
The fact check
This status post is a phishing attempt. Without online protection, clicking on the link takes us to a fake login mask in the Facebook design.
If you enter your login details here, you are putting the data directly into the hands of the fraudsters. These can now easily be taken over via your Facebook account and all pages and groups with admin rights.
