In the future you should be able to pay via Messenger. Facebook's chatbots can now accept payments, meaning the social network has cleared another hurdle in the path to future sales and money transfers.

Slowly and steadily, Facebook Messenger is being transformed into a full-fledged sales platform.

Facebook manager David Marcus announced on Monday that the new chatbot protocols now also support payments directly from Messenger.

Then you would no longer have to use a payment service outside of Facebook to purchase a product during a chat, but can do it directly via Messenger. To realize these plans, Facebook is working with PayPal and all major credit card companies.

too high expectations

The beta program led to enormous hype and exaggerated expectations that initially could not be fulfilled.

Over 34,000 registered developers had programmed over 30,000 bots that would serve as a service hotline or shopping experience in the future. However, many of them have not progressed beyond a rudimentary chat function.
