In the course of detailed checks on the subject of user information, 200 applications failed - these could now be permanently blocked by Facebook
As Die Presse reports, Facebook carefully checks all apps that have collected user data.
In a post in the Facebook Newsroom , the manager responsible for product partnerships, Ime Archibong, announced that 200 apps are at risk of possible ban. Whether they will now be permanently blocked depends on the results of extensive investigations by internal and external experts.
Which apps these are has not yet been announced. However, the company temporarily shut down hundreds of apps on its platform as part of the investigation. All applications that had access to large amounts of user information before 2014 are checked.
