Once again, throughout the day, users are “delighted” with a message on Facebook in which they are mentioned by name!
It is an alleged video of the respective recipient. The messages sent via “Private Messages” and “Messenger” currently look like this:
For years we have been reporting again and again about, let's just call them: "Is that you..." videos that are unintentionally sent by friends via Facebook Messenger. However, it is not the sender himself who is behind the sending of the messages, but rather fraudsters who use this scam to try to crack Facebook accounts.
In this case the URL “landpage.co” is very noticeable!
To do this, as is often the case, they use dubious Facebook messages that appear to be a YouTube video from the recipient on Facebook!
What is it about in detail?
Once again, Facebook is overwhelmed by a wave of dubious videos that are being distributed via the Facebook messaging function. But let's start at the beginning in the circular method: It all starts with a private message from a friend's Facebook account. The reason why so many users keep falling into the trap is that you feel like you're being spoken to as soon as the chat window pops up. Your own NAME and your own PROFILE PICTURE are displayed directly and many users are simply too curious and then click on this message. These or similar messages are:

If you tap on the message, you end up with this Facebook status post, which looks as if it were “YOUR VIDEO” that you could play on YouTube. But that is not the case. Nothing you find here is true. The entire status post including the YouTube link was manipulated.

If you now tap on the pay button, you will be asked to first enter your Facebook access data so that you can watch “your” video.

And then it happened!
If you now enter your access data here, the cycle begins again and the entire friends list is once again provided with the above-mentioned message. But not only that! The access data entered also ends up in the hands of the fraudsters, who would now have access to the respective Facebook account. This is also the reason why many users believe that they have been “hacked” and then usually pass this on to their friends in the following form:

Help, I'm affected!
- Please change your Facebook account password immediately. Inform your friends list about the mishap.
- Have your computer scanned for malware .
- If necessary, remove all harmful browser extensions in your browser and also check whether there are any other extensions/add-ons in the browser that you have not installed or that you are not aware of.
