We warn against status posts that are posted on Facebook. These posts contain a “Google code” that the user should enter into Google.
This is the following status post: “Hello everyone! 🙂 A few days ago I saw an advertisement on TV promoting a special offer from one of the online casinos. It turns out that with a minimum deposit of €50 you get a welcome bonus of €1,000 and 100 free spins. I made a deposit of €50 and was able to play for €1050. I was a bit lucky and was able to win €2,500, which I paid out immediately. The transfer arrived in my account on the second day. The special code is >>> CAS687XDE 🙂 Just enter it into Google and click on the first link in the results. The offer only runs until the end of the week, so I recommend you hurry up. Remember that the bonus is only effective if you deposit €50 or more.”
Affiliate partners of various Bitcoin trading or online casino sites repeatedly try to guide Facebook users to their site via a “Google code”.

The fact check
We already had a very similar case in May 2019 The text is similar to the requested status post and the method of luring you to a website via code and Google is also the same.
Google actually just spits out results for this code. We click on the first link offered and go to a website that shows a data entry mask. It is a casino website.

Why a code?
The code is used so that the link to the casino page can only be found “once”. Strictly speaking, it is an affiliate link. This means that if a user finds the casino website via this link, the creator of the affiliate link earns money when they register on the site.
We strongly advise against creating an account and playing on these sites.
