A 18kg baby? No! It's a fake!
Even if this newborn is not of normal weight - it did not weigh 18 kg!
This is about the following claim:

This baby is the heaviest baby in the world and weighs 18 kilos!
The fact check
Back in 2016, we reported on the rumor that a 250 kg woman had given birth to a baby weighing 18 kg.
Then as now, it is a fake. Because the baby shown weighs less than 18 kilos.
It all started in 2015 when the myth of the record-breaking 40-pound baby was born World News Daily Report'
The alleged mother of the child:

According to 'Daily Mail UK', Christina was from the USA (not Australia), was 23 at the time and, as part of a television show in 2014, wanted to reduce her weight and lead a normal life after gastric bypass surgery.
The baby attached to her is named Nadia Barnaul, Siberia , weighing 7.75 kg (17.1 lbs) (not 18 kg), according to 'BBC UK' and 'The Daily Top' Which, admittedly, is still a tall order!

The alleged mother and the child are therefore neither related to each other, nor is the baby's true birth weight correct.
Result:
It is a fake. The woman and child are not related and the baby's birth weight is around 7 kg.
