Does the man's DNA live forever in the woman's body once they have sex?
At least this is what is claimed in a post on Facebook and many users are rightly asking themselves whether this can be true. It's about this:
https://www.facebook.com/jedidiah.david.98/posts/717666551908518
So is it true that genetic material is passed on to the woman through the man's semen every time he has sex, even oral or anal sex, and that all children are then chimeras from the previous sexual partners?
The fact check
Absolutely and clearly: NO, children always come from only one father and one mother (genetically speaking).
Here, an attempt is made to use supposedly medical data to persuade women not to have sex except with their husbands, even before marriage.
To do this, you should first know how a child is created through the fusion of sperm and egg during fertilization and after meiosis .
This means that when the egg and sperm cells are formed, the set of chromosomes is halved so that exactly every chromosome in the child comes half from the mother and half from the father, because that is the meaning of the whole story about sexual reproduction Mixing of genes.
What is being claimed here is that every time we have sexual intercourse, genes are transferred and the child is then a bastard.
Humans have 46 chromosomes consisting of 23 pairs of chromosomes and each chromosome consists of two chromatids.
One chromatid from mom and one chromatid from dad, always! There is no room for additional chromosomes.
If there are additional chromosomes, then there is almost always a genetic disease, the best known being Down syndrome (Trisomy-21), in which the 21st chromosome is present not twice but three times.
Microchemirism
Now we come to the phenomenon of microchemirism .
This means the survival of foreign cells in your own body.
It used to be thought that it was not possible for cells to be transferred from mother to child or vice versa during pregnancy, but this is not true.
Cells can be transferred from mother to child and vice versa and can then also be detected in the blood and tissue.
This also happens with blood cells after organ transplants or bone marrow transplants and is currently being researched in detail because this can be both a therapy and a cause of the disease.
However, the fact that sperm can survive in the body or even reach the inner ear through the oral mucosa via oral sex is pure nonsense.
The body can recognize foreign cells through its immune system and then kills them.
Male DNA in women's brains?
Nevertheless, according to a study, around 63% of women carry male DNA in their brain and the question arises why!
One answer is actually that sperm DNA travels to the female brain, but this has not yet been proven.
Another fact is that this was probably intended by nature or God, because the women with male DNA in their brains had significantly less Alzheimer's than the women without foreign DNA.
However, since the number of cases is very small, no conclusive statement can be made.
However, it is certain that no child will be born with a multiple set of chromosomes from all men, because humans only have these 46 chromosomes and half of them come from the mother and half from the father; there are no other producers.
Nevertheless, it is possible that genetic material is actually exchanged with every unprotected intercourse, which is probably not great for every ex, but there are neither chimeric children nor has there been any medical disadvantage so far, the evidence points more towards an advantage.
If you want to prevent this, you can of course avoid sex or use a condom, because the effect is the same: no sperm in the body and protection against diseases at the same time!
And even if not, that seems to be more of an advantage!
