Man's best friend being processed as part of a gaming console?

At least according to this picture here, which has been circulating on social networks for years:

The fact check

As our colleagues at Snopes report, the image has been in circulation since 2015. The site “Amazing Facts and Nature” published an article in September of that year – but it was clearly satirical in nature.

Unfortunately, the article is no longer available, but there was originally talk of a Gamecube controller from Microsoft - but a Sony PlayStation controller is shown.

In addition, two dogs are needed for a single controller, but five dogs should die for two controllers... so let's summarize:

Three different companies and consoles were mixed up and obviously miscalculated to amuse gaming fans!

Finally, there was a bit of trolling by calling the players “gaymers” (from gay = homosexual and gamer = gamer).

Result:

The image originally comes from a satirical article. Someone then re-circulated the image without any background information.

Since then it has been floating around on Facebook etc. again and again.

Of course, no dog snouts are made into PlayStation controllers!
