Mark Zuckerberg is said to have hired spies to track users' profiles and report posts.

Facebook fact checkers are said to be spies of Mark Zuckerberg

A status post explains how you can block supposed “bots”.
However, the search results are completely normal profiles and pages.

It's about the following status post, which also includes screenshots and shows how to block alleged spies on Facebook:

Facebook Fact Checker.

These are Zuckerburg’s “bots” (spies) that track your profile and report your posts.

Block all fact checkers. This will give you more peace again. For me it was 45.

Go to Settings/Privacy -> Settings -> Block and then click on the blue + at the top and enter Fact Checker there and then block everyone that is there.

The fact check

It is not new that some Facebook users consider other users to be spies on the social media platform. Already in 2017, voices were raised claiming something similar. ( we reported )

But there is no such thing as a “Facebook snitch.” This is a misinterpreted observation. Of course it works, but in reality the description doesn't actually deliver the claimed result.

Even if it is clear what the post creator means, blocking users with the search term “Fact Checker” technically makes no sense. The profiles and pages found are not spies, but simply have part of the search term noted somewhere in their profile. These search results are purely random hits based on a very general search pattern. Facebook also sometimes searches in places where you cannot look yourself due to your privacy settings.

Conclusion:

Just because Facebook profiles or pages contain part of the searched word doesn't mean they are spies of Mark Zuckerberg. In addition, Facebook employees should not be recognizable as such via the search unless they intentionally mark themselves as employees of the company.

So if you block all profiles or pages with the search term “Fact Checker”, then they are normal users like you and me, but definitely not “bots” or “Facebook spies”.
