Criminals are currently sending emails about an alleged Amazon order. The email states that an order was placed from a previously unused device.
Attached you will find a PDF with information about the alleged order and the option to cancel the order. Anyone who does this is passing on their Amazon access data to criminals!
Numerous Amazon users are currently unsettled because they are receiving emails about an alleged order. However, you can safely ignore the email because it is a clumsy phishing attempt! Criminals want to use this to get your access data.
The phishing email we have received has the following content:
Your account was used to make a purchase
on a computer or device that has never been used
with this account.date: Wed, January 01, 2020 2:59 PM
order number: O9MXJLSG
IP Address: 1.51.115.76Find the attached document (PDF) to cancel your purchase immediately.
The email explains that an order was placed from a previously unused device. Attached you will find a PDF with information about the alleged order and the option to cancel the order.
What happens if you want to cancel the order from Amazon?
There are several links in the PDF: “Report a problem” or “Report a problem, manage payment or cancel your order”. Clicking on one of these links will bring up a mock Amazon login page. This looks like the real login page, but it's fake! You can tell that this is a fake page if you take a closer look at the link.

The link of the correct Amazon login page is: “www.amazon.de”, while the recreated page under the links “https://djslowsalahapaakuremix2019.com/ aNRjUHS” or “https://service1-cancelmy.purchase-amazon. invoice-team.com” is called up.
If you enter your login details here, the data will be transmitted to criminals who can then take over your Amazon account.
How do I recognize a phishing email?
- Most of the time you will not be contacted personally. Scammers use phrases like “Dear customer”.
- The pretext is unrealistic and the email is full of grammatical and spelling errors.
- The return address is not the service address of the named company.
- The login page link does not match the link of the correct page.
- The links to data protection, general terms and conditions, legal notice, etc. do not work.
- As a general rule, Amazon does not ask you to disclose personal information via email.
In order to check whether an email could be genuine, you should not click on the links in the email, but rather go to the corresponding page directly in the browser. In this case, you should open the browser, go to Amazon as you usually do and look in the customer account under orders to see whether this order really exists.
I have entered my details – what can I do?
If you have only entered your log-in details, change your password as quickly as possible. If this is no longer possible because the fraudsters have beaten you to it, contact Amazon customer service. Service employees will discuss how to proceed with you.

Have you entered your bank or credit card details? Keep an eye on your account statements or, best of all, contact your bank or credit card company and explain your situation.
