We are currently receiving a lot of requests for an audio file to be sent via WhatsApp!
Note: At the time of writing this article (March 13, 2020/1:29 p.m.), it was a hoax!
The speaker in the audio file, who is believed to be Austrian Finance Minister Gernot Blümel, says: “Apparently the crisis teams in Austria are discussing whether and when there will be a curfew! The spokesman says he expects this to come into force next week. From this point of view, the speaker said, even to all skeptics, that it would be a good idea to stock up and do necessary things and always have cash in the house. It is assumed that Austria will do this the same way as in Italy! So first in the evenings there is a ban on going out from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and if that's not enough, then just go to the supermarket and the pharmacy. At the end the speaker says that we are heading towards difficult times."
No substance!
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said the following important sentence in the press conference on March 13, 2020 on the topic: “Further measures to contain the coronavirus”: “Everything that is floating around and circulating on social media has no substance whatsoever” (Source: ORF )
Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz also confirmed this in this press conference. He said very clearly that these audio files did not come from him or from Finance Minister Blümel and were therefore a hoax.
We also received a direct statement from Gernot Blümel's social media team. This is:
To be clear, this is not the voice of the Minister of Finance. Please only trust information from official channels. https://bit.ly/38T1Lqo Best regards, Team Gernot Blümel

Susanne Schnabl, an Austrian journalist and television presenter, also published information about this on her Twitter account!
Guys, there are currently sound files circulating from top politicians talking about curfews and stockpiling. These are FAKES, false reports! The next government press conference with confirmed information will take place at 2 p.m. The @ORF @ORF_TVthek broadcasts live.
