Facebook post in plain text

The page itself has a URL that you would not associate with Steffen Lukas: facebook.com/huy.kxladiies
The link in the profile, which is stated as the “official website”, leads to a fake page with the look of Radio PSR. But the official website can be found at radiopsr.de

The fake site immediately invites “20 selected winners” to register:

If you click on the button, you will be taken to a Google site. This is also a sign that it is a fake website. No reputable company uses Google Sites for their website.

The registration

You will also be taken to a page where you have to enter your credit card details.

A user was unsure (rightly!) and asked. She is then told that this is “reasonable” as the card details are required for verification “to declare that you are the official and legitimate winner of this event”.

Radio PSR warns!

But this supposed competition threatens to be a rip-off! The radio station itself warns on its official Facebook page:

Steffen Lukas himself also published the warning on his Facebook page . Several fake profiles were created under his name, each advertising the alleged Radio PSR competition.

Not just Radio PSR, also Antenna Lower Saxony

A fake competition in the name of radio presenter Timm “Doppel-M” Busche from Antenne Niedersachsen took place in the same way, as the DPA reports .

Antenne Niedersachsen warns against these dubious competitions website

What happens if you participate?

Such fake competitions aim to obtain verified data from users. These are then passed on. The result: spam, subscription sales, fraud. It is also possible that such “competition sites” are contaminated with malware that is loaded onto the computer.

Therefore: stay away from such dubious competitions.
In most cases, official Facebook pages can be identified by the blue tick. Pages to which you are redirected do not have a (credible) imprint. Conditions of participation or entries for the competition can also be edited later.

If you're not sure, it always helps to google the supposed organizer yourself. Official competitions can always be found on the official websites. If in doubt: ask directly.
