Internet criminals don't miss any opportunity to get their hands on victims' data. At first there were fake telephone calls from the alleged police, but now there are fake emails from the alleged Vienna police chief Dr. Gerhard Pürstl in circulation.

The recipient receives an email from the alleged Director General of the Vienna Police Gerhard Pürstl. In the email, the scammers indicate that the computer will be confiscated and legal action will be taken for child pornography, pedophilia, cyber pornography and exhibitionism.
People are also asked to send cybercrime.police.gouv@gmail.com , or in this case to protectionscyberservice@gmail.com The email is accompanied by the police crime prevention logo in order to appear as real as possible.
Fake emails also from Europol
Another variant of “sex blackmail” is also in circulation. E-mails similar to those of the alleged Vienna police are sent with the logo of Europol, the Federal Criminal Police Office or other police logos. ( HERE )
