Bargain hunters beware! It sounds too good to be true - and it is. The tempting offers of plane tickets for just €2 are part of a sophisticated scam and you could be the next victim.
An irresistible Lufthansa offer
Imagine: flying for free for 6 months – for just 2 euros! At a time when we're all looking for the best bargain, this is the jackpot. But here’s the catch: This offer is only available on a fake “Lufthansa – Germany” Facebook page. These tempting-sounding posts are nothing more than bait to lure you to a fake website.

This is also advertised on the Facebook page “Lufthansa Hauptseite”.

Fake comments: A real danger
As if these misleading offers weren't bad enough, there are always comments from so-called "satisfied customers" under the advertisements. These profiles are also fake and only serve to make the whole thing seem more credible.

The expensive click
If you click on the tempting “Apply Now” button, you will be redirected to a fake Lufthansa website. The three questions? A diversionary tactic. The real damage comes when they ask you to enter your personal and credit card information. This can cost far more than the advertised 2 euros.
the truth comes out
It's easy to be seduced by such offers. This makes it all the more important to remain vigilant and make sure that the source is trustworthy. This fake “Lufthansa – Germany” page is another example that not everything that glitters is gold.
Conclusion
We live in a time where online fraud is commonplace. It is more important than ever to be vigilant, to research carefully and to always critically question tempting offers.
The truth? There are no plane tickets for 2 euros. The only price you pay is your safety and your hard-earned money.
