I'm starting to suspect that the self-proclaimed "critical thinkers" are actually just thinking and seeing this as truth, but don't even make the slightest attempt to check the claims, screenshots and sharepics they share.
There is no other way to explain why a really poorly made fake, an alleged screenshot of an ntv article, is shared indignantly without even looking closely at the screenshot or checking the claims by simply googling. There is an article on ntv reporting that BioNTech would put pressure on politicians to enforce compulsory vaccination.
But the screenshot is not only grossly fake, it even says “parody” on it!

The widespread screenshot

This alleged screenshot of an ntv article is being distributed:

MIMIKAMA
The fake ntv article

The article with the headline “Biontech is putting pressure on politicians” allegedly claims that, according to insider information, the company will stop all party donations if the general vaccination requirement is not enforced in Germany.
Accordingly, the screenshot was shared with outrage:

The fact check

When reading a screenshot of a sensational news story, your first instinct should be to check whether other news sites are covering it, because it would be a powerful thing if the above claim were true.
In this case, it is enough to take a closer look at the alleged screenshot, because not only is the text of the article clearer than the slightly blurred headline, but two other details also catch our eye:

The date

MIMIKAMA
The date of the counterfeit item

The article is said to have been published on June 13, 2021 - and yet there is no mention of compulsory vaccination required by BioNTech anywhere. The colleagues at Correctiv also noticed that a screenshot of an alleged ntv article with the same date and time was circulating in February.

The labeling

MIMIKAMA
Labeling it as a parody

In some circles, people believe they can protect themselves by labeling all forms of hate speech and malicious misinformation as “satire” or “parody,” in the belief that this will protect them from possible prosecution for defamation, copyright infringement, or defamation of reputation— which, by the way, is not the case .

The creator marked the screenshot with “parody” directly under the date, but apparently a lot of people don’t even notice this.

Conclusion

The screenshot is a flawless fake, which was also marked as a “parody” (just to clarify about the positioning: such a section does not exist on the ntv website). There have been several alleged screenshots of news articles in the past that have been labeled as “parody” and are only intended to cause outrage in relevant circles, for example HERE .
