It is not unusual for site operators of fake competitions to be upset when they are exposed.
Most of the time they just delete their page or are deleted from Facebook.
However, here we are going on the offensive: the site operator of a fake competition openly threatens users who point out the fake with the release and misuse of their data! The operator of the “ Range Rover 2019 ” page, which we have already here and here , seems to be losing his nerve a little.
This is how you can recognize the fake competition:
Threats from the fake site
Many users are now familiar with these fake competitions and are just annoyed by them. But when this is pointed out, some site operators now react aggressively: They threaten to release and misuse the data.

However, what sounds like a threat is actually just hot air: If you n't taken part in the "competition", the site operator cannot know the data unless it is clearly and openly stated on the profile or can be found on the Internet !
Here are some of the threats:
Other fake competitions, the same threats
Interestingly, these threats against users in the same style can also be found on other fake competition sites.
The treat: One of the operators apparently forgot to change his profile! His name is pixelated in the screenshot, but we know it!

Legal notice
Such threats can have criminal implications! If users or their relatives actually receive more calls as a result, even though they did not take part in the fake competition , this constitutes the criminal offense of stalking ( Section 238 of the Criminal Code ) and can be legally punished.

Recognize fake competitions
There are certain features by which you can tell in advance whether it is a dubious competition or not. The more points a competition has, the more likely it is that it is a fake competition.
