Fraudsters caused total damage of up to 10 million euros

As the Frankfurt am Main police reported, on Tuesday (June 12, 2018) two men were arrested who ran the fake shop of the company KK Gregor Technik GmbH and are said to have fraudulently obtained several million euros in this way.

One of the two main accused (54 years old) was arrested in the morning hours by the Federal Police and the Frankfurt Police at Frankfurt Airport as he entered Germany from Southeast Asia. The second suspect (48 years old) was arrested in Oberhausen. The officers found extensive evidence in his apartment there. This was confiscated.

The two men were brought before the judge yesterday and are now in custody.

The Frankfurt police currently have around 6,000 criminal complaints in this investigation. According to current knowledge, the total damage is up to 10 million euros.

Information for those affected

The investigation into other suspects is still ongoing. People who have already filed a criminal complaint are asked to refrain from making inquiries to the police and the public prosecutor's office.

The Frankfurt am Main public prosecutor's office will contact the injured parties in due course. People who have not yet filed a criminal complaint can do so at the local police station.

An insolvency administration will probably take care of the distribution of the seized assets.
