This chain letter appears again and again. The group mentioned actually exists, but what is really behind it?
We have been aware of chain letters that were on Facebook before pedophile groups since 2011. If you go to the groups mentioned in the chain letters, you will actually find a lot of status messages in which children can be seen. However, these status reports have nothing to do with pedophilia, but rather pursue a different goal.

However, before there are any misunderstandings (we know this from the past), a few quick comments:
- we do not defend the site
- we are not behind the site
- we have no contact with the operators
- Yes, we condemn it when fans comment insultingly on the pictures
- we want to show you how you can smother this page
Father/mother and Henriette…
Do you still know Henriette's children's bazaar? The same thing happens there as on the Facebook page “Becoming a father/mother was the most beautiful gift of my life”. The site operators only share PUBLIC images of Facebook users in which children can be seen. The operators of the pages want to show their parents or grandparents what they can legally do with their photos on Facebook.
LEGAL is the key word here, because since there is no re-upload, no changes and no derogatory comments from the operators, neither copyright nor personal rights are violated by this site.

The only question at this point is whether the share button function is ethical if you want to shame parents by sharing their children's pictures. Likewise, ALL commenters should be aware that one should not blindly comment on these images. Personality-harming comments are of course not permitted.
The Facebook page “Becoming a father/mother was the most beautiful gift of my life” does nothing other than share pictures on Facebook using the “share” function. The site shows what is possible on Facebook with images that have public status. It's up to you to make these images disappear from the site: change the privacy setting! The moment you change the status from “Public” to “Friends”, the sharing is over.
In the end, it is of course up to each parent to post pictures of their children on Facebook, but you should at least pay attention to the privacy settings.
Recognized from the past: Police can't do anything!
From an article in the Krefelder WZ we learn that at the time almost 2,000 complaints were received against the site “Henriette's Children's Bazaar” [ 3 ]. Since the site “Becoming a father/mother was the most beautiful gift of my life” uses the same methods, the police will not be able to take action here either, as no criminal offense has been committed. Where you can only start is the ethical-moral approach:
Is it fair to parents - and especially children - to use the virtual pillory and share children's pictures with such clarity? Here you have to make a clear distinction between what is technically and legally feasible and what is ethical and moral. And that's exactly what it's all about if you want to accuse the site of something.
“After all, every child has a right to the picture”
This is also what it says in the Krefeld WZ. That is completely correct, not just every child, but generally every person has a right to their own image. In this case, however, the parents have already acquired the right to their children's own image by uploading an image to Facebook and giving this image “public” status. If this image is shared unchanged and without insulting comments, this right has not been violated by third parties .
Problem case comments
Things become legally problematic the moment commentators change their tone. We not only advise against this, but also condemn this type of insult. The approach would be, if you go to the police, to target these insults, as they offer a target.
