BOLD and ITALICS as well as STRIKED THROUGH

Facebook has probably rolled out a new update for some users, with which users can now design their texts a little more creatively. Formatting such as bold, italic, and strikethrough are now available.

So you can now post bold, italicized and strikethrough words in Facebook Messenger. All you need to do is enter the following information.

  • Bold = * word *
  • Italic = _ word _
  • Strikethrough = ~ word ~

It then looks like this, for example:

Although these commands are new in Messenger, they have been around on WhatsApp for a long time. The commands mentioned only work (at the moment?) in Messenger, but not in normal status posts, for example.

Well. What a great innovation on Facebook!
