Someone probably forgot to check the link that Maira Kellers published on Twitter.

There is great outrage: Fridays For Future circles, of all places, are advertising cheap flights to Thailand? At least that's what a screenshot of a tweet published by Maira Kellers shows.

Maira Kellers is a climate activist and the spokesperson for “Fridays for Future” in Cologne and, among other things, organizes the demonstrations. And at least it's not fake that she posted a tweet with the words " Hey, there are flights to Thailand for only €99!" I know flying sucks and all, but you can still treat yourself... This tweet is publicly visible on Twitter and behind this link . But is this really an embarrassing advertisement for cheap flights to Thailand that would contradict FFF's philosophy?

FFF and Maira Kellers do not promote cheap flights

The answer is quite simple: no! This provocative tweet is intended to refer to an action. This is a consumer-critical campaign that was launched on “Black Friday”.

FFF and cheap flights: a honeypod

In fact, tweets like this one from Maira Kellers were intended to attract people to a website and, ideally, draw their attention to the problem of low-cost flying through their own curiosity.

The link leads to a website that appears visually as a program start via a command prompt. A program called “Klimaschutz.exe” is symbolically started here. No, of course no program is executed in this sense, but it is about optical elements that are based on a program start.

At the end of this process there is a large message: “To stop the climate crisis, a restart is necessary!” and you are linked to the Fridays For Future website.

So no advertising for cheap flights by FFF and Maira Kellers. This process can be understood by all Internet users by clicking on the link and seeing what happens there. So here is the link again:
