Paid demonstrators – a great target for everyone who is against the topic of certain demonstrations.
And so many opponents of the “Fridays for Future” movement are now laughing up their sleeves, because the headlines from various quarters are (almost!) clear: the demonstrators at FFF are at least partially paid, conclusion: In reality they are not at all so many “real” protesters.
Here are some of the headlines:

But as is often the case: for many users, the headline alone is enough to form an opinion. A look at the articles would have shown that all sides unanimously reported that it was not FFF itself that paid young people to demonstrate, but an independent association!

Used the big stage
At the association “ NuKLA e. V. “(Nature Conservation and Art Leipziger Auwald e. V.) is a local association that implemented the idea of holding a vigil entitled “ Auwald for Future – Silence” in the forest ”.
In a video published by the association you can see the posters used and the campaign itself:
The association's speech on the sidelines of the FFF demo was also published by the association on its website .
The intention of the association is obvious: both FFF and NuKLA e. V. advocates for nature conservation, but more people will be able to show interest in the association's concerns if it stages its art campaign on the sidelines of a large event.
The paid extras
In a conversation with “ Welt ”, club spokesman Wolfgang Stoiber also confirmed that people were paid for the performance, but defended himself against the term “demonstrators” because, according to him, it was an art project for which the large stage was used FFF used demonstrations.
It is also clearly visible on the posters that the protection of the riparian forest is at the center of their demands. However, it was not the club members themselves who actually took part in the project, but rather paid extras who received 50 euros each.
The club members were present, but not active themselves. Due to the advanced age of the members, they preferred to act as contact persons near the art event, as can be seen from another interview, according to “Welt”.

Conclusion
The club paid the extras from the club's treasury, according to " RND ". The “ Leipziger Volkszeitung ” also emphasizes that the organizers of the Leipzig “Fridays for Future” event knew nothing about the art project and are therefore concerned that “paid demonstrators” are now associated with the movement.
Once again it is clear: it was not FFF participants who were paid, but rather extras for a club's art project on the sidelines of the event!
