Are you in financial difficulties and looking for a loan? Have you already made numerous inquiries without success? Maybe you just want to take out a small loan without having any debts beforehand? Then you may come across service providers who try to sell you an expensive financial restructuring, even though you were looking for something else and financial restructuring is available free of charge in Austria! The Chamber of Labor (AK) is also aware of this problem and therefore offers the following list of companies that do not offer loans, but only financial restructuring for a fee.

For example, the following websites are mentioned here (as of August 16, 2022):

  • az-finanzmanagement.at
  • credivisor.at
  • debitoria.at
  • expressfinanz.ch
  • finance-enterprise.com
  • finmove.net
  • kreditcenter24.org
  • kredit-ohne-auskunft.at
  • lfirst-ag.ch
  • max-liquid.com
  • phoenix-ag.ch
  • wiener-finanzhaus.at

If you are actually looking for financial restructuring, i.e. debt settlement, then you will find the free and state-recognized debt advice centers in Austria .

If you have already made free inquiries to one of the financial restructuring companies and are now being asked to pay brokerage or processing fees, this is usually not legal. There may be no charge for a free inquiry and you will not have to pay anything.

Sample letter of mediation agreement

If you have already received contract documents and signed them, even though you wanted a loan and not financial restructuring, the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor advises you to take the following action: withdraw from the brokerage contract and use the sample letter “ Withdrawal from Brokerage Financial Rehabilitation ”. Send the completed letter to the company.

The same applies if you have already paid the agency fees.

Dubious advertising sites

Anyone who researches the companies on the AKOÖ list of companies will quickly come across dubious news sites that seem to have no other purpose than to praise or promote financial restructuring sites. Critical reporting or information, such as that offered by the Chamber of Labor, is not approved on these websites. We recommend that you do not believe these websites and instead obtain information from more trustworthy sources.
