Sadly, it is almost like “amen in prayer” and reminds us of the refugee crisis of 2015/2016. People are fleeing war in their homeland. If that weren't bad enough, there are rumors about what they would do when they arrived in other countries. For incomprehensible reasons, some individuals assume that people from other countries have no sense of behavior or socially acceptable behavior. Because why else would they vandalize a train so that it looks like a drinking party has taken place there?

Video from the devastated train

This video is currently being distributed
on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter It was probably taken by a railway employee who also commented on the recordings as he made his way through the train. You can see numerous beer bottles, beer crates, dirty toilets and graffiti on the walls. Texts or headlines also appear in one version of the video stating that refugees from Ukraine were being transported on this train.

It is known that a large number of women and children are fleeing Ukraine. We have never heard of the fact that on the way to safety, but often also to an uncertain future, they drug themselves with alcohol and then leave their rubbish everywhere. And for one very simple reason: it's not true.

Refugees from Ukraine? Or maybe football fans?

Some easy-to-see clues about who was on this train can be seen in the video.
For example, you can see the graffiti “FCA” or “LA07” here. FCA stands for FC Augsburg, LA07 for the ultra fan association “Legio Augusta”. You can also see a sticker showing a double-headed eagle, which also refers to the “Legio Augusta”. The eagle can also be seen in a photo that was published on Instagram from the game between FC Augsburg and VfL Wolfsburg in the WWK Arena on November 25, 2017: the 10th anniversary of the fan association.

The train seen in the video was traveling in Baden-Württemberg; it traveled from Ulm main station to Plochingen on March 19, 2022 at 12:17 p.m. , the press office of the Ministry of Transport in Baden-Württemberg said when asked by Correctiv . However, this train was not used for refugees from Ukraine. It was a regular train service.

On this day, the football match between FC Augsburg and VfB Stuttgart place in the Mercedes-Benz Arena Stuttgart. Kick-off was at 3:30 p.m. So all evidence points to football fans.

The train operator Go-Ahead also published a correction on Instagram regarding the allegations in the video:

Conclusion

The video from the train is from March 19, 2022. On that day there was a football match between FC Augsburg and VfB Stuttgart.

All clues in the video such as graffiti and stickers point to FC Augsburg football fans.

The video has nothing to do with refugees from Ukraine. According to train operator Go-Ahead from Baden-Württemberg, it has been “documented beyond doubt” that football fans were responsible for the contamination and vandalism on the train.
