No video call with embarrassing surprise moments: The well-known software developer and YouTuber “Everything Is Hacked” has introduced a new tool that retouches pants on the lower body. Users who want to protect themselves from various embarrassments can obtain the program code free of charge via “ Github ” and use it for their own video conferences.

According to the developer, different types of pants in different colors can be selected

The width of the 2D graphics can also be adjusted to the user's figure. The new tool also uses the artificial intelligence-based machine learning kit “Mediapipe”. This means that body movements are specifically recorded. However, the person in question must be completely within the camera's image at that moment.

A challenge in developing the application was the catchment area of the image section. If this is too narrow, the system will partially stop. For this reason, Everything Is Hacked has integrated a security measure: If the face leaves the camera image, the bottom of the image is obscured, whereby a soft focus is used. The participant's missing trousers are thus discreetly concealed.
