Or also: Why it is regrettable to withhold information
We received inquiries about a Facebook status post that suggested that the man shown could be a refugee in Germany:

A big problem in this country explained in one picture...
But what does this photo explain…? In the combination of text and image language, many users cannot help but think that this could be a migrant or refugee disrespectfully holding up both middle fingers into the camera - during a court hearing in Germany.
Since “this country” is not particularly specific, it could also mean any other country, but since it is spread in Germany, it is reasonable to assume that it would also be Germany.
So where does the photo come from anyway?
The fact check
What the post creator unfortunately forgot to add is that this is a murderer from Sweden. The photo can at least be easily found Imgur
As the Norwegian website Dagbladet reports, here we see 22-year-old Fouad Saleh, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of three people. He was a member of a gang or gang.
According to Swedish website Expressen , Saleh admitted to killing a couple in Hallonbergen and that voices in his head ordered him to do so. He is said to be mentally ill and suffer from a personality disorder .
He grew up with his parents and siblings in the Hallonbergen district of Stockholm and was a promising football talent as a teenager.
Result:
By providing too little background information, the author gave the false impression that this could be a refugee/migrant in Germany.
But you can see a presumably mentally ill murderer from Sweden who was a member of a gang and killed three people.
