More competitions appear on Facebook every day, which quickly turn out to be fake. Nevertheless, thousands of users take part.
Just like in the “Golf 2019” competition. This competition is only a few days old and claims that there is a VW Golf to be won. Of course, this encourages Facebook users to participate.
This Facebook page does not stand up to the simplest tests: it is not an official page of VW, a car dealership or any other well-known company or organization.

You search in vain for any ownership, the page information is simply empty. At this point at the latest you should pay attention and avoid taking part in the supposed competition.
Fake competitions like this are simply an excuse to lure Facebook users into various viral marketing methods. This is also the case here in the supposed competition on the Facebook page called “Golf 2019”.
Most of the time, competitions are linked that are not illegal, but are organized by data traders to whom you provide your own data for trading. Because: Data brings money.
Golf 2019? Earn money!
But there are various methods that such a fake competition can refer to. Some are “just” competitions run by data traders, others are far more dangerous.

Unfortunately, the actual purpose of these sites is limited to one thing: collecting data, selling magazine subscriptions and sending spam emails!
Even if you take part and think to yourself “Oh, if I play along, it won’t hurt anyone” – data always brings money and these sites will continue to exist in the future. Facebook pages that deceive you and make money from your personal data. Even a mere like maintains this type of page and harms you and your Facebook friends.
