It's about a sharepic again. A typical sharepic without any attribution.

The statement in the sharepic is even more impressive, because here you can read:
“The agitation that is currently being carried out against the supporters of Pegida or AFD reminds me strongly of the National Socialist agitation before the Reich progomes came into force.” [sic!]

Under this sentence is the name Aaron Grünberg, who is said to be an alleged Holocaust survivor. In the background of the sharepic you can see an old man, supposedly Brünberg. The image appears visually in the following form:

The sharepic has a small headline in which the message of the picture is interpreted in the white way, that the Greens and the Left Party are continuing Hitler's ideas.

Does this sharepic fit?

This picture is hard to beat in terms of infamy. The person pictured is not “Aaron Grünberg”, but Leon Greenman ( image comparison ). British-born Leon Greenman lived in the Netherlands at the time of the Nazi occupation. There he and his family were unable to prove their British identity, and they were first sent to the Westerbork deportation camp and then to Auschwitz-Birkenau. His wife and son were murdered upon arrival, and Greenman survived 18 months in concentration and labor camps.

Greenman died in 2008, but campaigned against fascism and right-wing extremism throughout his life. His entire life is portrayed, for example, on the website of the Jewish Museum in London ( compare ).

Incidentally, the quote cannot be found written down anywhere, except in connection with this sharepic. In other words: There is no verified evidence that a Holocaust survivor named Aaron Grünberg said this sentence. One can suggest at this point that a quote was probably invented and a Holocaust survivor with a similar-sounding name was used for illustration (Grünberg <-> Greenman)

Not new!

By the way, this sharepic is not new; it appeared in spring 2017. Well, of course it was already a fake at that time.
