Purpose of the association: Mimikama is directed against any misuse of the Internet for criminal purposes and advocates for the strengthening of consumer and data protection as well as civil rights and privacy.
Key topics include: spam, fraud, phishing, false reports. Educating internet users about internet crime and internet fraud is of central importance to “mimikama”. These will take place through online activities such as articles and reports on the platform www.mimikama.org as well as through cooperation with media and educational institutions as well as through public relations work. Mimikama also operates a complaint center for illegal Internet content. The association sees itself, among other things, as a platform for the exchange of experiences for Internet users and members.
