Bank customers repeatedly fall victim to phishing emails. This email is aimed at Volks- und Raiffeisenbank customers.

The email, which apparently only appears to be sent from Volks- und Raiffeisenbank, once again justifies it with the “changed terms of use”, which are not mentioned anywhere, but seem to be enough as a reason. Such ominous emails appear again and again .

The text in the email verbatim:

Good day,

Due to changes in the terms of use, we are legally obliged to check your personal information for authenticity.

If you do not carry out this process carefully using the following form, we are no longer authorized by the Data Protection Act to approve online banking for you.

You can access the announced form via our security server by clicking on the button “>>> Go to form <<< “.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in our safety.

If we now click on the link in the email, Kaspersky immediately warn us:

Without protection, you end up with a replica site that is curious about users' data. You can clearly see from the URL above that you are not on the real page:

Conclusion

Even if an email looks very genuine, it is advisable to always log in directly to a company's website, even if there is the slightest doubt, and never click on a link in a dubious email.
