The consumer portalvergleich.org has analyzed which products' prices have risen particularly sharply due to inflation in a period of less than 2 months!

- In first place: organic butter! With a price development of plus 30.57% (price increase from €2.29 to €2.99), the organic butter (250 g) lands in first place in the inflation ranking.
- In second place: sliced salami! The price rose from €1.39 to €1.79 during the observation period – an increase of 28.78%.
- In third place: shampoo! 500 ml of the own brand shampoo cost €0.75 on March 23rd, 2022, on May 19th. already 0.95 €. The price here rose by 26.67%.
- In 4th place: Black Forest ham! The product increased in price from €1.19 to €1.49, making it 25.21% more expensive.
- In 5th place: Gouda medium old! 300 grams of the cheese cost €1.99 in March, then €2.49 in May, making it 25.13% more expensive.
Berlin - At 7.9% (as of May 2022), the inflation rate is currently the highest in (West) Germany since 1973. Thevergleich.org editorial team wanted to know: Which products are particularly affected by the price increase?
For the ranking, the prices of over 50 own-brand products were collected in a randomly selected Berlin discounter on March 23, 2022 and May 19, 2022, thus determining the top 10 products with the highest price increase.

Place 1-3: organic butter, salami and shampoo!
Organic butter rose in price during the observation period from March 23rd. until 19.05. from €2.29 to €2.99, recording the largest price increase with an increase of 30.57%.
Own brand salami (sliced, 130g) increased in price from €1.39 to €1.79, a price increase of 28.78%.
The own brand classic shampoo increased by 26.67% (500 ml, price increase from €0.75 to €0.95).
In 4th and 5th place: Black Forest ham and medium-aged Gouda!
With a price increase from €1.19 to €1.49 (25.21%), the Black Forest ham (80 g) comes in 4th place. The price of the medium-aged Gouda (300 g) increased from €1.99 to 2, 49€ (25.13%).
Places 6 to 10:
6th place: liver sausage
- Fine liver sausage, 175 g
- Price increase: from €1.09 to €1.29
- Price increase in percent: 18.35%
7th place: oatmeal!
- Oat flakes tender, 500g
- Price increase from €0.59 to €0.69
- Price increase in percent: 16.95%
8th place: whipped cream!
- Whipped cream, 200g
- Price increase from €0.69 to €0.79
- Price increase in percent: 14.49%
9th place: toilet paper!
- Toilet paper, 4 ply, 1600 sheets
- Price increase from €3.45 to €3.95
- Price increase in percent: 14.49%
10th place: organic orange juice
- Organic orange juice, 1 liter
- Price increase from €1.39 to €1.59
- Price increase in percent: 14.39%
