As our cooperation partner Watchlist-Internet reports , an increasing number of reminders and payment requests are currently being sent out by alleged debt collection agencies for subscriptions to streaming services.

The good news: Don't pay! The bad news: It won't be the last payment request.

Fabricated debt collection agencies are currently demanding payment for subscriptions to alleged streaming services such as moviesta.de, movoplay.de, filmara.de, miniflix.de, playdad.de, yaflix.de, flixpro.de, zonaflix.de, flixkong.de, mainflix. de, preflix.de, wolfplay.de, labaflix.de, gauflix.de, tinoflix.de. ( You can find the detailed list of dubious streaming platforms here .)

You will be informed by email that a claim of €516.24 still needs to be paid. If the amount is not transferred by the end of a set deadline, you will be threatened with legal dunning proceedings.

1st reminder

Our client (UGO BEST LIMITED) has authorized us to collect the claim listed below for the premium annual subscription (12 months / 1 contract year). If necessary, we will present a power of attorney that legitimizes us in court.

Unfortunately, despite payment reminders and reminders, you have so far failed to pay the following claim:

Invoice number: 1299GBT
Item/service: (Premium – annual subscription (12 months/1 contract year)
Invoice amount: €516.24, due on February 13, 2020

We are now giving you the last opportunity to pay the total claim of €516.24, consisting of:
Invoice amount €395.88
Default interest €23.86 plus
reminder fees €96.50
Total: €516.24
by February 17, 2020 .

If we are unable to dispose of the total amount or not in full by this date, we will be forced to initiate legal dunning proceedings.

Debt collection agencies invented

The emails are sent from alleged debt collection agencies with names such as Harvey & Company Limited, Acton LLP, Archie & Co Limited, Addison & Co Limited, Alcott & Argyle Management. These debt collection agencies do not exist. However, names of companies that actually exist are often misused. Don't let this intimidate you and don't pay!

The payment requests claim that you failed to cancel the subscription before the end of a 5-day trial period and that you are therefore obliged to pay. We currently know of two variants with which you can register on these pages. In both cases, numerous laws are not adhered to, so that a contract can never be concluded. Since there is no valid contract, there is no obligation to pay!

Break off all contact!

We recommend that you go to the bottom of the email you receive. There you will find the “Unsubscribe” link. Click on it. This should allow you to unsubscribe from the email distribution list and no longer receive any further payment requests from the provider. In addition, we recommend that you move messages regarding this matter to the “spam folder” or “junk folder”.

Experience has shown that you may also receive calls regarding this matter. In this case, break off the conversation and ignore all further calls. Block the number.

Do not be unsettled by further payment requests, reminder letters, debt collection demands, etc. and do not pay.
