Fraudsters repeatedly pretend to be Instagram and send fake emails in their name. Apparently you can get the verification badge that many users have longed for, it says in an email. Note: A verification badge is a checkmark that appears next to an Instagram account name in search and on a profile.

It's currently about these or similar emails:

If you follow the instructions, you will be redirected to this page. Here you have to provide your full name, email address, phone number and Instagram username!

His password is on another page. Apparently you can now get the verification badge by “submitting”.
BUT BE CAREFUL: From this moment on, all data is sent to the fraudsters, who can then use it to take over the respective Instagram account.

What can I do if I have fallen victim to phishing on Instagram?
What is Phishing? Phishing is when someone tries to gain access to your Instagram account by asking you for personal information via a suspicious message, email, or link. The message may also state that your account will be suspended or deleted if you do not follow the instructions. If that person gets access to your account, they may try to send spam through it.
Example: Jonas receives an email telling him to log in to his Instagram account and read an important message about his account. The email links to a strange-looking website that asks him to enter his username and password.
