The claim
A sharepic is intended to show that the corona vaccinations have dramatically increased the number of deaths and seriously ill people in Italy.
Our conclusion
The numbers on the Sharepic from Italy are therefore to be assessed as fictitious; in the statistics from ISTAT, which is also given as a source in the Italian version of the text, the percentage increase in illnesses cannot be determined, nor is the number of deaths plucked from the air.
The corona vaccinations in Italy are said to have caused over half a million “sudden unexpected deaths” and an average increase of over 400 percent in heart attacks, pulmonary embolisms, breast cancer and other serious illnesses - at least that is what one sharepic claims.
But the numbers given cannot be found in any statistics; the source given even contains contrary information.
The sharepic with the alleged numbers from Italy
The sharepic, which is being shared in relevant circles, is said to contain “ new data from Italy ”, which is intended to show that the number of deaths and serious side effects have increased significantly since the start of corona vaccinations in the country.

The text on the sharepic is introduced with “ The Covid vaccination is having an effect. Congratulations to everyone who stood firm .” Below this is the following text:
“PANDEMIC 2022:
Here are some new data from Italy
(Source: Government Statistical Institute)”
These include some percentages: Vaccinated population: 80%, spontaneous abortions + 279%, heart attacks (myocarditis) +269%, pulmonary embolisms +458%, ovarian dysfunction + 437%, multiple sclerosis +680%, breast cancer + 487%, sudden unexpected deaths 2020 – 155,000, 2021 – 222,000, 2022 – 548,000 (in the first 9 months).

Looking for the numbers
There is no “Government Statistical Institute”, as stated in the German-language sharepic, but there is the ISTAT . This means we can check directly there whether the specified values are correct.
We run into a problem when we want to look at current statistics on the causes of death from illness (see HERE ), because these statistics currently only go back to 2019. Then where do the numbers from the Sharepic come from?

This is actually fodder for conspiracy myths, because perhaps these numbers are now being hidden? Okay, then let's take a look at other values. In ISTAT you can find more current information (see HERE ), which is based on various sources, including the causes of death given by the examining doctors - and there should be dramatic increases in breast cancer and heart attacks, for example.
However, such increases as stated in the sharepic are not found in any of the serious side effects specified. The number of deaths is also greatly exaggerated: According to ISTAT (Excel table HERE ), a total (!) of exactly 479,394 people died in Italy from January to August 2022, far less than the 548,000 stated in Sharepic.
In the same period, a total of 483,145 people died in 2021, and 483,594 people died in the same period in 2020 - so the number actually decreased, the numbers on the Sharepic are not comprehensible.
Conclusion
The percentage increase in illnesses stated in the Sharepic cannot be reflected in the ISTAT statistics in any of the cases, and the number of deaths is also incorrect, because otherwise more people would have died “suddenly unexpectedly” in 2022 than actually died overall.
The numbers on the Sharepic from Italy are therefore to be assessed as fictitious; in the statistics from ISTAT, which is also given as a source in the Italian version of the text, the percentage increase in illnesses cannot be determined, nor is the number of deaths plucked from the air.
