A video is currently being shared on Facebook that shows refugees beating up a police car in Italy.
But there are quickly doubts about its authenticity! We have seen this video several times, it is not new, but it is currently being shared every minute.

The video can also be found on YouTube, you can watch it here:
Quick doubts
When you watch the video, you start to doubt its authenticity. Why do a cameraman, a lighting technician, a person responsible for sound, and if you look, even an entire film crew appear on the left edge of the picture?

Seriously! There's a complete crew there. Furthermore, the rest of the street is completely untouched by this scenery.
There are also clear indications that it is NOT a police car, Fanpage.it describes here [1]:
The auto infatti is only a reproducion of the source in dotazione all force dell'ordine e si discosta da essa per numerosi particolari come from the example of the assembly of the scritta carabinieri sul cofano posteriore.
The car is in fact just a replica that was delivered to law enforcement and differs in numerous details such as the absence of the “Carabinieri” lettering on the trunk.
A comparison with a real Alfa 156 police car shows: yes, the trunk is also labeled (see HERE and HERE )

But where does this scene come from?
Several Italian sites [ 2 ] [ 3 ][ 4 ] now state that these are amateur recordings of the filming of the film “A Chijara” or “Mediterranea” by Jonas Carpignano [ 5 ] [ 6 ], which were made by were made by an amateur filmmaker/passerby.
We therefore wrote to the director Jonas Carpignano directly and asked whether they had filmed this scene. He confirmed to us:
In the internet there is also a page where you can see the scene from the same film.
lo puoi confermare? (There are sites on the Internet that claim that this scene comes from one of your videos. Can you confirm this?)
This is a video from a Mediterranean film scene.
(Yes, it's a scene from the movie Mediterranea.)
The page shows the video that you can see in Italy in this case.
(Sites that took over the video now claim that this is how migrants always behave in Italy)
Non è vero per niente .
(That is not right)Grazie per aver fatto il controllo
(Thanks for asking)
So it's clear:
– it is NOT a real Carabinieri vehicle
– a complete film crew can be seen
– it is a recording from filming
