For days we have been receiving inquiries about an article that was published in September 2019. The title: “Yellow license abolished: Sick people shouldn’t act like that and still go to work”
It says that Jens Spahn announced in a speech that “yellow notes” would no longer be issued.
Alternatively, doctors would send a digital note to the health insurance company so that they can increase the insurance premium. >> You can read the whole article here!

Is Jens Spahn’s statement true?
No! We can't say it enough, but before you take a news story at face value, you should always check who is reporting it.
In this case, the original contribution comes from “Noktara”, a satirical news portal comparable to Postillon, which publishes made-up reports every day under the motto “News from the East, today!” In the official FAQ, Noktara writes about the veracity of the posts:

“In contrast to the rest of the lying press, we at least admit that our reports are fictional and come from the Arabian Nights. However, our news often has a real or current relevance.”
So it's satire!
