Blocked, unbanned, blocked again – obviously not all is lost on Twitter. At least in the case of Kanye West, renewed anti-Semitic statements and the posting of a swastika led to him being banned from the platform again.

Statement about Nazis and Hitler

In an interview with “InfoWars” / Alex Jones, Kanye West said he liked Hitler. Probably because, among other things, he – as West falsely claims – “invented highways and the microphone”. Here he also said that he loved Jewish people, but also Nazis.

When Jones asked and said that Nazis did “really bad things,” Kanye West replied, “But they did good things too. We need to stop dissing the Nazis all the time. (…) I love Nazis.” – These statements caused widespread outrage.

When he later posted a Star of David intertwined with a swastika on Twitter, consequences were drawn. The tweet was immediately deleted, and West was again banned from the platform for “inciting violence.”

"I did my best. Nevertheless, he once again violated our rule against incitement to violence. The account will be blocked.”

Elon Musk on banning Kanye West

Clarification on the ban

Regarding Kanye West's ban, there were rumors that it was due to the Twitter boss posting an unflattering photo. Musk corrects this in a tweet.

“I just want to make it clear that his account was suspended for inciting violence and not because of an unflattering picture of me being sprayed by Ari.
Honestly, I found these pictures a good motivation to lose weight!”

Elon Musk on Twitter

Kanye West is a celebrity.
When he makes statements, they inevitably make waves than with small accounts that come from unknown private individuals. Since Elon Musk voted on the general amnesty of blocked accounts, the question now arises as to whether action will be taken as consistently as in the case of “Ye”.
