Products you order here will not be delivered. Payment is supposedly made via “Klarna Sofortüberweisung”. But be careful: the payment process was faked. You are not on the real Klarna payment page, but on a replica website that is used to steal your banking details.

How do I recognize a fake Klarna page?

In order to steal your bank details, fake shops fake the “Klarna Sofortüberweisung” payment process. Klarna's fake payment website looks deceptively similar to the real payment site. You can only tell that it is fake by looking at the internet address. The internet address of the real Klarna payment website is: www.sofort.com/[…]. Fake payment sites have a different internet address, e.g. E.g. fina-pay.com/[…] or icepla-gateway.com/[…]. Below are screenshots of the fake and real Klarna payment page.

How do I recognize a fake shop?

  • Price: The prices are usually cheaper than in other online shops. Use comparison portals such as idealo.at or geizhals.at or the German portals on .de to find out the market price of a product.
  • Reviews on the Internet: Find unknown online shops on the Internet. Use the search terms “experiences” or “fake”. You may already be warned not to shop there.
  • Payment methods: Most fake shops require advance payment. They usually state in the payment terms that different payment methods are available. When you check out, all that remains is payment in advance.
  • Imprint: Check the information in the imprint. You can look up Austrian companies in the WKO Companies AZ . German companies can be found in the commercial register . If the company is not listed there, you can assume that it is fraudulent. Caution: Sometimes imprint data is also copied from existing companies.

Have you ordered and provided your bank details?

  • We assume that you receive a call from the criminals. They pose as either an online shop or “Bank IT Security” and ask you to approve a payment. Hang up and block the number. Do not allow yourself to be put under pressure and under no circumstances release a payment. This money would then be lost!
  • Contact your bank and find out what you can do if criminals know your login details.
  • Beware of further scam attempts. Now that criminals have your contact information, you may receive fraudulent calls, emails, or messages in the future.
  • Report it to the police .
