Emotional videos and stories are the key to getting lots of likes and clicks on the internet. The people who produced that video also know this: A father with eyes red from crying speaks a few words directly into the camera to his son, whom he probably won't see grow up - because the father donates his heart to the son.

This video is about:

With a halting voice, the man gives his son advice on how he should behave in life: no smoking, no drugs, always listen to his mother, treat people with respect, etc.

The source of the video

At the bottom left of the video you can see the text “Take 2 The Screen” displayed, and this also leads us to the source of the video: a YouTube channel with that name ( see HERE ). The above video can also be found there ( see HERE ), uploaded on June 1, 2016 ).

In general, there are many videos with the man on the YouTube channel, often in dramatic situations. And that's not surprising, because "Take 2 The Screen" (technically: Peterborough Media Company) is a two-person media company that focuses on emotional content.

The “Father”: “I’m still alive!”

For several years now, the video has been passed around on all sorts of sites that rely on likes and clicks. Accordingly, many users asked about the alleged father and son - until the actor finally had to clarify in 2018 that he was still alive.

In the video, the man explains that he recorded the video in 2016. Although many sites shared the video and stated that it was not real, many other sites did not mention this, so readers believed it to be real.

He originally made the video just to show off his acting skills . The speech to his son is not his, but comes from the film “ John Q. – Desperate Rage ” from 2002 (starring Denzel Washington) and was only slightly modified and adapted by him.

In addition, it was never intended for people to believe the video to be true; he made that clear from the start. But he is happy that the video touched so many people and even helped them deal with their own problems.

Summary

It's not a real father giving a speech to his son, but an actor who originally just wanted to demonstrate his acting skills with this monologue from a film.
