Below the supposed message about the Lufthansa competition is the link to the company's website: lufthansa.de.
It seems as if you are being directed to the airline's official website .

However, if you click on the link in the WhatsApp message, you will be redirected to a page that has nothing to do with Lufthansa. This simply recreates the company's online presence by copying the logo and inserting a photo of a Lufthansa aircraft. The link shows that you are not on the airline's official online presence:

And this is where the process of such a fake competition starts, which is very familiar to us because it is always identical.

Fake competition process

First you can answer a few questions that could come from a survey. Afterwards you will be congratulated that you have the chance to win. – This case is about alleged return tickets.

As always, to take part in the competition you have to forward the good news to five WhatsApp groups or 20 WhatsApp contacts.
I wonder why? Very simple: so that the fake spreads quickly.

Another prize can then be thrown in – in the form of vouchers or even smartphones. Apparently this is intended to suggest a connection to Amazon. – But be careful: “amazing products” in Amazon’s font style, and the URLs of the linked pages have nothing to do with Amazon.

The real trap

Aside from the fact that there are no Lufthansa flight tickets to be won here, there are also no iPhones or Amazon vouchers (yes, sorry, we have to disappoint you again). This should become clear to you at the latest when you are asked to enter your data - often including your credit card details - and read the lowercase letters. – You do that. Always. Or? 😉

On the one hand, you are informed here about the conclusion of subscriptions or about the transfer of your data to “sponsors”.

In the end, you give a bunch of your personal data into someone else's hands, take out subscriptions and probably receive tons of spam in the future.

Conclusion

This competition is not organized by Lufthansa and has nothing to do with the airline.

Supposed competitions that arrive via WhatsApp always follow the same pattern: The message should be spread further in the first steps of the process so that the likelihood that the fraudsters behind the fake competition will get as much data as possible increases.

In the end, you don't get the promised profit, but instead you lose your personal data, receive endless spam, may have taken out an expensive subscription or even downloaded malware.

Therefore: Ignore and delete such messages, which come with a URL that smells noticeably fake anyway. And it's best to inform the sender that this is a fake competition that has nothing to do with the alleged sender.
