We loved it as children and appreciated it anew as students. But what do we really know about Maggi? And why should you think about it more now, while you might be planning your next quick meal? This fact check delves into the world of condiments to answer some of the most controversial questions.

One month of Maggi: self-experimentation with consequences

Why not? A brave reporter took up the challenge and immersed himself in the world of Maggi products for 29 days. The result? You would be amazed at how your taste and body can change in just a month. And not necessarily for the better...

After a month, the reporter lost 2.4 kg, although this was due to a nutritional deficiency. The blood values also leave something to be desired: iron and vitamin B1 have decreased significantly.

The big battle: Maggi vs. Knorr vs. Koch

Ready meals are practical and often tasty. But can they really compete with a freshly prepared dish? Who impressed in terms of taste, speed and price in a direct comparison between Maggi, Knorr and a real chef? Homemade onion soup tasted best, Knorr was ahead in terms of price, Maggi was the most expensive. When it came to spaghetti bolognese, the main course from the chef was almost twice as expensive as the ready meals.

Are you really paying for what it says?

Deceptive packages. A word that makes many consumers shudder. But what are the prices and quantities of popular products really like? Is Maggi the only sinner here, or is there more hidden? The result of this question could make you rethink, because Maggi is not the only one who acts this way.
