It quickly happens that you register with streaming sites where you can watch the latest films and series for free. However, these are not only illegal, but also require a lot of money.

Legally, these sites cannot collect money through normal channels because the offer is illegal. So another scam is used: fictitious debt collection companies demand the amount for the supposedly completed subscription by email.

This is what these letters look like:

Source: Watchlist Internet
Source: Watchlist Internet

Watchlist Internet reports that it is a scam. Fraudsters send payment requests in the name of companies for annual subscriptions that consumers have not taken out. These are amounts of money over 400 euros and higher . If consumers do not comply with AKK INKASSO AND COLLECTING's request, they will receive a seizure threat with an exact seizure date. Victims usually transfer the requested amount out of fear.

What can I do?

Under no circumstances should you transfer the requested amount of money, as these letters are fake and not legal! AKK INKASSO AND COLLECTING or INTERNATIONAL INKASSO GROUP LTD are not real debt collection agencies.

Tip: Do not delete email, but move it to the spam folder

Move emails like this to the spam folder. Your email program or email provider will then automatically recognize similar emails as spam. The more often you sort dubious emails manually, the better the email program will learn to recognize spam in the future.

The Internet Watchlist recommends:

Do not be intimidated by the seizure threat from INTERNATIONAL INKASSO GROUP LTD and do not transfer any money. There is no legal reason for this! If you have any further questions, please contact the Internet Ombudsman . He offers free dispute resolution and advice for online businesses.
