The album “Sonny Black” was classified as harmful to minors

The Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein media authority pointed out that the content of the songs on Bushido's album degraded women and homosexuals and glorified violence.
The album was therefore indexed by the Federal Testing Agency for Media Harmful to Minors in 2015. In October 2019, the Federal Administrative Court confirmed this decision. For this reason, the album may neither be sold to children and young people nor be freely accessible on the Internet, the media authority explained.

No longer accessible on YouTube with a German IP

After the media company discovered that videos were available on YouTube, it reported this to YouTube parent Google Ireland Ltd. 300 videos have now been blocked on YouTube in which the album or individual songs from it were shared. The videos are no longer available to users in Germany.

Press release from the Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein media authority

According to MA HSH notice: YouTube blocks 300 videos with Bushido album indexed

Norderstedt, December 5, 2019 - Following a tip from the Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein media authority (MA HSH), YouTube has blocked 300 videos that either distributed the entire album "Sonny Black" by the rapper Bushido, which was classified as harmful to minors, or individual tracks from it.

During research, the MA HSH discovered that the videos were freely accessible on the platform. After the videos were reported by the MA HSH and blocked by Google Ireland Ltd. They are now no longer accessible for users in Germany.

The album “Sonny Black” demeans, among other things, women and homosexuals and glorifies violence. It was therefore indexed by the Federal Testing Agency for Media Harmful to Minors in 2015. At the end of October 2019, the Federal Administrative Court confirmed the classification of the album as harmful to minors.

Since the album is classified as harmful to minors, it may not be sold to children and young people. Access restrictions must also be placed on the Internet to ensure that it is not freely accessible to children and young people. If this does not happen, there is a violation of the State Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (JMStV).
