Here we have them again. The supposed mermaid that is said to have been fished out of the sea in Vietnam and that colleague Ralf has already reported on.
Another video was published on Facebook on June 15, 2018 and countless users are sending us numerous inquiries about it!
It's about a creature that can be seen via live broadcast on Facebook . Surely everyone has an idea of what a mermaid looks like: sweet smile, long hair that modestly hides the breasts (virtually Facebook-compatible), and a glittering fin.
Then get ready for something, because here you can see what a mermaid really looks like. Perhaps.

Yes, you see correctly: four breasts, a big belly, a fish head with teeth. That still image is from a video that you can watch on Facebook:
At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 8 million times, and if you look closely, Ariel's ugly relative even appears to be breathing. But you don't have to look at a supposed fish creature for 4 hours, we'll shorten the whole thing a little for you!
Fact or fiction ?
One thing seems strange at first: the supposed live video makes a “jump” after about 5 minutes and starts again from the beginning. Here an already existing video was “looped”, i.e. played again and again, as a “live broadcast” on Facebook, so that it appears that you are actually seeing the creature live. The purpose behind it is clear: the longer a live broadcast lasts, the more people become aware of it and watch in amazement while absentmindedly “liking”. A simple way to collect likes.
Next, the biologists may ponder how this is possible:
A fish creature with a belly button but no visible reproductive organs? Fish and mammal at the same time?
This fish stinks from the head!
What is also circulating are still images of this creature, such as this one:
And then we notice something:
In both the video and the picture you can see a cable that is connected to the box. Maybe so that the fish creature has electricity in his apartment, the box?
Butter the fish!
Enough fooling around, let's resolve: This is by no means a real fish-man (or human-fish), nor a hybrid bred by scientists (although we can imagine that certain websites would like to use the image as a teaser for shock articles), but a work of art !
The site “ Htoodaily ” shows how the Burmese artist is currently working on his work.
That being should represent “the world of the living in its entirety”. There is a motor in the box that ensures that the lovely fish lady appears to be breathing.
“The human world… is broken.”
