Crizpy: Let's put social media where it's most fun.

Halloween is just around the corner: On the spookiest day of the year, NASA doesn't miss the opportunity to post a picture that sends shivers down your spine.
The space agency showed this picture of an eerie grinning sun on Facebook and Twitter. The eerie image was taken in October 2014. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite recorded the dynamic processes of the sun using ultraviolet light.

What looks like a scary, grinning Halloween face here are active regions of the sun that shine brighter than other areas. They reveal the intense and complex composition of magnetic fields floating around in the corona, the Sun's atmosphere.

The resemblance to a grinning Jack O'Lantern grimace is undeniable. Fascinating. And also a little scary.

This is CRIZPY!
