How does it work?

On iOS you can easily start a survey using the “+” symbol at the bottom left. On Android, click on the paper clip at the bottom right of the chat history. Once the survey is called up, the question and possible answer options can be entered. The answer options can also be arranged differently afterwards. To do this, tap on the three horizontal lines at the right end of the line and drag the line to the desired location. Then you tap “send” and others in the chat can give their opinion.

If a vote has already been taken, you can go to “View votes” under the survey and see who voted for what and how many votes there were in total.

In addition, the online status can now also be hidden

You don't always want it to be visible whether you are currently using Messenger or not. Until now, you could only hide when you were last online. Now you can open and browse your chats completely “invisibly”.

To set this function, go to the “Data Protection” tab under Settings in WhatsApp. There in the menu you will find the item “Last online/Online” in which you can set two functions: 1) “Who can see my “last online” timestamp?” And 2.) “Who can see whether I am online? In these two questions you can select which contacts are allowed to see this information.
