A headline alone can make a big difference!
So we've included the most important points in the heading above: It's about two daycare centers, i.e. daycare centers, where the children will hear Arabic songs this year.
So far, so calm. Of course, you can also package this information in a completely different way:

“Kita children should hear Arabic songs”
This is a little shortened, but it doesn't matter because the article itself is correct. Unfortunately, the readers of this newspaper are known for often only reading the headlines and then loudly expressing their outrage.
The AfD is a very good example of this: you have to create a sharepic to mobilize voters!

“Participation for the children is not voluntary. – CDU Minister Gemkow must immediately stop Arabic lessons in daycare centers!”
The AfD article refers directly to the “Bild” article shown and linked above, but omits important aspects from the “Bild” article, instead writing about coercion and “Islamization of Western culture”. fake news happens !

What it's really about
The party gives the impression as if Arabic lessons generally in daycare centers , which the children are also forced to do .
The only thing that is true about this is that participation is not voluntary, so it is just as much a “compulsory” as the playground hour and the sleep hour.
The basis of the excitement is a project by the ERZÄHLRAUM eV has been active in East Saxony since 2016 .
two daycare centers in the Görlitz and Bautzen districts for one hour each Fairy tales and songs are told and sung there in various languages, including Czech, Polish and Sorbian. This year it's Arabic.
This means that the children should not perceive other languages as “foreign”, which tends to make them insecure, but simply as what it is: another language. Children with a migrant background should also feel more integrated and safer when they hear familiar sounds.
The club itself is also horrified by the tendentious reporting and explains this in more detail on the club's website :
“Our project “TELLING – A treasure for the future” aims to teach stories, fairy tales and myths at an early age. We don't read aloud, we tell the story in our own words and the children are allowed to join in the story.
No child has to, but every child can. That's why we tell stories in multiple languages in multilingual groups so that all children can participate and get to know the language of their friends. We do not give language lessons, but we want to promote the multilingualism of the Upper Lusatia-Lower Silesia cultural area.
These include German, Sorbian, Polish, Czech, Russian, English, Syrian-Arabic and many other languages. At a time when the composition of school classes and residential areas is becoming increasingly international, fairy tales from all over the world can build bridges between cultures.
Sharing stories together promotes understanding of one another. Seemingly foreign things are better understood and fears are reduced. We want to build bridges like these over which our children can go into a more peaceful and cosmopolitan future.”

Conclusion
No child will now be forced to learn Arabic!
It is simply a multilingual project by a committed association with stories, fairy tales, myths and songs in two daycare centers.
But the fact that Arabic has now been included in the program this year seems to be a red flag for some people.
